Amid growing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, Merivale Motel take this opportunity to let all our guests and business partners know that the health and safety of our employees, guests and visitors is of utmost importance to us.

Following the Australian Government’s guidelines, Merivale Motel is committed, like many of our industry peers, to halt the further spread of COVID-19. In order to protect our people and business, we have put in place a number of proactive measures to ensure our employees, guests and visitors remain safe.

These measures include:

• Additional staff have been rostered to accommodate extra cleaning requirements.

• All surplus bedding and linen has been removed from rooms and all remaining items are sent to commercial laundries after each guest.

• TV and air conditioning remote controls are being placed in disposal clip-lock bags and thrown out after each guest checks out.

• Light switches, handles, door knobs etc are disinfected daily.

• Keys and key-safe boxes are all disinfected multiple times daily.

• All cutlery is changed and washed in a dishwasher after each guest stays.

• Bathroom, toilet buttons, taps and all handles are thoroughly disinfected with bleach/chlorine cleaner.

• All rooms contain Hand Soap for washing hands.

• Carpets vacuumed and tiles are mopped with bleach/chlorine cleaner.

• No contact check in and check out is available upon request through the use of key-safe boxes.

• Cleaners wear gloves at all times and follow all health guidelines for the virus cleaning.
